Young People in the Modern Economy
In recent years, the market structure has changed significantly and con-
tinues to change rapidly becoming more and more sophisticated. The follow-
ing tendency directly reflects on labour market leading to both positive and
negative changes. It has always been ofurgent concern that getting a satisiac-
toryjob is quite a problem for young people and high-tech industry exacer-
bates the situation. There are various opinions held on this issue: some claim
it is young people who have to adjust to technological era by being more flex-
ible whereas other blame governments for not caring about potential work-
ers. There exists a grain of trust in each argument and this essay is aimed at
determing to what extent the success of young people in getting ajob depends
on governments and on personal incentive.
Employers are likely to welcome workers with previous work experience
thus they tend to neglect paying good remuneration or even offering a better
job to young people. Some sort of stereotype takes place here and as for the
governments there are quite a few measures that must be taken to reverse this
trend. Firstly, they should encourage firms to negotiate with universities in or-
der to establish some basis for potential workers by getting them acquainted
with a firm's structure and working environment. What is more, firms may offer
summer practice within the country as well as abroad so that young people are
able to apply fresh knowledge obtained at universities to work. Secondly, gov-
ernments should widen working places offered by state to compete with com-
mercial ones where barriers for young people to enter market are even higher.
However, one-sided effort is not enough and incentives should also
come from potential workers. They ought to possess up-to-date information
and be aware of current structural changes in labour market and in the one
ofgoods and services. Young people are better to be active and open-mined
to search for a job in different areas ofthe branch. Moreover, they need to be
involved in things they do and possess necessary personal qualities such as
diligence, curiosity and conscientiousness in order not to do job superficially
and assert themselves as prospective part of a team.
Governments should give an incentive for young people to struggle and
keep looking for a satisfactory job with opportunities to progress in the fu-
ture. But at the same time governments are not to go beyond the scope of
being a primary mover as a successful and self-sufficient worker is formed by
overcoming difficulties and deciding what he really wants to do on his own.
Therefore, some initial support from the government is undoubtedly essen-
tial, whereas further turn is to be taken by an individual and his ambitions. -

4. Governments should give an incentive for young people to
keep looking for a satisfactory job with opportunities to progress in the future, should't they? ---разделительный вопрос.5. How can a successful and self-sufficient worker be formed?---Специальный вопрос.
Ну, вот, у вас уже есть два впроса.
Осталось поставить еще три вопроса к первым трем абзацам, то по одному к каждому.
Но предварительно надо почитать теорию.
