    Помогите пожалуйста определить способы употребления артикля.

    Способ указания на объект, находящийся в поле зрения собеседника.
    Способ ссылки на известный объект.
    Способ включения объекта в число известных.
    Способ доп. конкретизации.
    Способ родовой характеристики.
    1. Having lost the receipt, he couldn't get the parcel.
    2. Not having returned the book in time, the boy was afraid to go to the library.
    3.Having missed the 10 o'clock train, he had to send the telegram to the friends who were waiting for him.
    4. After looking through the magazines, he returned them to the library.
    5. On arriving in the city, the travellers went to the hotel.

    На мой взгляд так. А вы как думаете?

    Огромное Вам спасибо за помощь ).
    До того как обратилась к Вам за помощью, я думала немного иначе. Во втором предложении "2. Not having returned the book ---3in time, the boy 2was afraid to go to the library.---5" существительное the boy почему это ссылка на известное? Этот способ предполагает наличие у собеседников совместного прошлого опыта, связанного с называемым объектом.. я не могу понять.

    3.Please open the door(3).
    4.Please close the door(3).
    5.Are you writing the new words(2)?
    6.Is he giving you a piece(6) of chalk?
    7.Where is the chalk(3)?
    8.The exercise-book(1) is on the table(1).
    9.The walls (3) in the rooms(4) of my flat are yellow and blue.
    10.Please go to the blackboard(3) Peter. He is at the blackboard(2) now.
    11.Take a piece(6) of chalk from the table(1) and write the words(2), please. Who is writing the words(4) on the blackboard(3)?
    12.Please come into the room(3).
    13.We are going to the classroom(3).
    14.The blackboard (3) is on the wall(4) of our classroom.
    15.They are looking at the boys(1).

    опять же, это мое мнение, тут ведь очень зависит от того, как представишь.
