В чём разница quite enough и enough?

  • Есть такое предложение:

    The game is still prealpha, playable and basically playable at the moment, but there is not quite enough of it to release it on the market with a clear conscience, even in the early access version.

    Почему здесь написано именно quite enough, что это даёт? Что если убрать quite и написать просто enough?

  • Not quite meaning ‘not completely’ --не совсем, не вполне

    We often use not quite to mean ‘not completely’. We can use it with adjectives, adverbs, nouns, non-finite clauses, prepositional phrases and wh-clauses:

    The door was not quite closed. (+ adjective)не совсем закрыта

    The news was not quite as bad as I had expected. (+ comparative phrase)
    не так уж плохи, кмак я ожидал.
    It’s not quite half past nine. (+ time phrase)не точно

    She hesitated, not quite knowing what to do. (+ non-finite clause)не вполне осознавая

    That’s not quite what I meant. (+ wh-clause)не совсем то.

    Не вполне, не совсем достаточно

  • Просто дает оттенок. И в отрицательном предложении они скорее употребят quite enough. Но с этим лучше обратиться к носителям. Это из того же разряда, что I am afraid I can't. Напрямую никто не отказывает. Своеобразное смягчение отрицания.
