to или for

  • Добрый день! Подскажите в каких случаях употребляется выражение "beneficial to", а в каких "beneficial for". Например, два предложения:
    Did you accomplish anything socially beneficial to the community?
    Now they realize that the expanding trade they have is beneficial for both of them.
    Почему в одном случае после beneficial идет предлог to, в другом случае for? Может быть посоветуете литературу, где можно подробно прочитать про употребление предлогов?
