The man who didn't want to take part in a war.
He was one of the greatest sportsmen in the 20th century. Only few people can say that they don't know his name. Although the kind of sport that he did is considered as quite cruel this man was able to prove that he had a big heart.
He was born and grew up in Louisville, Kentucky. His original name had been Kassius Marsselus Kley until he changed it to Muhammad Ali. He was brought up alongside his brother Rudolf. Unlike his peers he didn't have to do part time works, even though his family wasn't quite wealthy. Kley started boxing when she was 12. His trainers didn't think that his boxing career would be promising but Kley proved the opposite with series of victories in row. After he had graduated a school he went on boxing and he became Olympic champion in 1960. Needless to say, that he was totally happy about it.
However, after a while he faced serious problems with law because of his refusal from serving in army. Luckily, he wasn't put in prison but his boxing license was suspended. Years went by and only in 1971 Supreme court of USA took favorable for Muhammed Ali decision making his boxing license valid again. After this long break Muhammad Ali returned to a ring. Although the process of coming back wasn't easy he was able to get over hardships. His crowning achievement was his fight against George Forman, formidable boxer whose opponents often needed medical treatment after fights with him. Being a very smart boxer, Ali could find a right plan for the fight and knocked down Forman in later rounds. After this victory even Ali's skeptics admitted his as "the greatest".
Unfortunately, years of boxing and getting punches didn't make Ali healthier. Incurable decease of Parkinson made him almost disabled and he had to use wheel-chair. Despite his illness Ali took part in public and sports events until moment of his death in 2015.
